The Modular Process
We represent one of the nations largest off-site builders of premier system-built (Modular) homes. Our homes are constructed in a controlled environment in state-of-the-art production facilities with superior quality. Why is this important? Better, faster and stronger construction than traditional on-site homes, less waste, better utilization of materials, and no missing materials or weather delays. Your home arrives to your site about 70% to 85% complete and is set on its foundation the same day, weather permitting. Your energy efficient home will be ready to occupy in 90 to 120 days versus six months to a year. Green options are also available.
Our process is designed around our customers needs. Some of our customers already have land, and some need help finding land. It could be in one of our developments or elsewhere. We are happy to help you find one of our existing plans from the many we have to choose from, or we can start with a sketch or any other site built floor plan to customize your dream home.
Once your land or lot and home plans have been finalized, it's time for the construction to begin. One of the many benefits of modular building is the efficiency due to being able to have several components of the home construction occurring at the same time. While the site is prepared, graded and the foundation is poured, construction of the home begins in the factory. This saves considerable time as there is no need to wait for one process to begin while the other is completed.
Once the site, foundation and home are ready, the home set begins. On the day of the set, the home boxes (sectional modules) arrive on carriers at the home site. A crane is used to pick up each box very carefully and set in the correct position on its foundation. Once all of the boxes are set, the roof is raised, the home is then sealed together and “dried-in” all in one day. It is an inspiring process to watch.
Once the home is set, the finishing work begins such as installation of custom flooring, countertops, exterior siding and other custom work. At this time the electricity, plumbing and other utilities are hooked up. After all of the finishing work has been completed, the home is then inspected and ready for move in.
